in 1990 I moved to dusseldorf to study geography. Between 1993/94 and again in 1996 I went to University College in London (UCL). To be honest I didn't do much studying there, but I had so much fun... ;-)

  
   

After finishing my degree I started working on my PhD-project, but since I don't get any grant I had to work part-time for a market research institute. Recently I changed my job: city development and technology transfer.

    sport    
    to keep fit: 3 x running and 2 x workout a week  
    clubbing    
    I like to party and "dance to the music": nightkomm, chains, greenkomm, la demence  
    music    
    when I go out I'm into house/techno. I often listen to the essential mix on bbc radio 1. At home I usually prefer mellow house-mixes and depending on my mood also classical music.  
    reading    
    actually there are quite a few books in my shelf that I haven't yet read. So, once in a while I read one of these, mostly English (American) classics like Henry Fielding, Jane Austen, Henry James or Virginia Woolf. Apart from that my favourite books are Harry Potter and Bridget Jones's Diary (finally, I've seen the movies...)  
    politics    
    I'm very much interested in world politics and globalisation, as well as European and national politics.
